Swedish Winter Weekend

This weekend I spent at my parents’ house in Sweden where we painted yet another room (seven down five to go!) and enjoyed ourselves. This time we went for a simple white while all the other rooms are coloured.

There is no TV or internet in the house so my sister brought Pan’s Labyrinth to watch on her computer. The film is stunning and terrible – but we were cosy:

The weather was quite cold even though this winter is allegedly the warmest Swedish winter for 250 years! Still the nearby lake was frozen and we almost had the courage to venture a walk. Almost.

It was good to be back in Sweden and to get another room done. The house is very big but one room after the other we are moving in and making it our own. The view to the church remains the same though, and with a perfectly blue sky and a sunset it makes a very nice scenery. Winter can be quite my thing.
