In Denmark there’s a strong tradition for making speeches at birthdays, weddings, baptisms, and the like.

Yet another!

One sister finished high school (I told about that here) and then the other finished her training as a nursery assistant. And lo and behold she got a cap too!

As already reported my sister finished high school this week and she had her last exam on the 23rd of June. In Denmark we celebrate midsummer on that day – St John’s day or Sankt Hans. All over the country people light bonfires where a witch is burned at the stake. These last say 400 [...]
